As if 20 nonstop years as a top career Disc Jockey wasn’t enough, DJ LS One has been impressing individuals with his talents as a DJ Manager, Technical Engineer and (Artist) Tour DJ. Throw in the occasional Music Production credits and you’ve got yourself a man who’s by far, much more than just your average DJ.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, “LS” (as he’s called by those who know him) has been and still is one of the most requested and respected DJ’s on the South Florida party scene and currently anchors Miami’s hottest, most successful Upscale Urban Promoter Parties for the last 3 years ongoing. With no signs of slowing down, he is definitely one to be watched and if you haven’t had the pleasure of the “LS One experience” then I suggest you add it to your bucket list. For if there was such a thing as the DJ Hall of Fame, DJ LS One would undoubtedly be its next honored inductee. Viva DJ LS One!

Where is your favorite club to perform at in Miami?
I have two clubs that are equally my favorites….. Club Dream & Cameo….
What Miami club brings in the finest ladies?
It’s not necessarily the clubs its the promoters & by far it’s any party the 400 Club does…
What is your favorite New York Club?
My favorite New York club doesn’t exist anymore, it was The Palladium…
How old where you when you got your first turn tables?
I got my first tables @ 13 but first started mixing @ 8 years old..
What separates you from other DJ’s?
Other than the fact that i’m good??? LOL, Nah What separates me is I have history, most dj’s only know what they hear on the radio or see in the videos… & they also have no mixing abilities, no programming skills, man its an array of things…. You gotta keep the tempo consistent… Keep the people dancing..
What sounds and artist got you into DJ’s?
It wasnt a sound or an artist it was my dad… He was a DJ….
Who is your favorite Rapper?
My Favorite rapper is Jay-Z… By far…
How can you explain the differences between DJing back in the day vs. now?
Thats easy, with all the dj programs out you can travel with an unlimited library, back in the days you had to know your crowd because you had to know what records you were gonna play, so you packed accordingly… It goes back to the ability of being able to program
What is one of your most memorable experiences as a DJ?
My most memorable experience as a dj??? Well there’s two of them, 1. The day i met JAM MASTER JAY!!!! & the other was on the Hard Knock Life Tour with DMX… I was X’s DJ for 6 1/2 years… Phenomenal…
The word Urban is used very often these days. How would you define “Urban Scene”?
The way the media makes it out is Urban is Black Hip-Hop… But it’s funny cuz if its white hip-hop, its open format… Hmmmmm!!!!
As a model scout and photographer for Mixed Magazine I have seen a huge increase in booty implants these days.. What is your take on this new look?
It don’t bother me… I’m all for change…. LOL!!!! Those who do it just need to think it through & do a little research, who knows what affect they on your body in later years….

Is the New York hip hop scene bigger than Miami’s?
Right now the Miami scene is bigger, for the fact that everyone comes here, or has moved here, (like myself), the studios here are just like new york, ( Circle House & Hit Factory), the weather is always great so people wanna be here, artists, athletes, entertainers, & party goers….
Who will win the NBA Championship for 2011?
It would be Man-tastic (just cant say fantastic) if the Heat won, you know with all their acquisitions, but as much as i hate to say the Lakers is still the team to beat.. & The Celtics are no slouches either….

Aw man, im not on top, but i am good, very good, I am loving my life, & enjoying it… It can & will get better when i release my Cook Book, (yeah I does that too), then open my own restaurant & purchase a night club……
What advice can you give an up and coming hip hop DJ?
For upcoming dj’s i say practice, practice practice…. Learn, Know, & study your craft, get it mastered & do it right, cuz when you feel the pressure its me… I”M NOT GOING NO WHERE!!!!!!
