It’s time to get your shawty that perfect gift. Check out the new R&B artist Tyler Conti and his new album “Dreaming”. This new artist combines the perfect blend of well balanced soulful catchy love songs combining easy going heartfelt vocals, relaxing guitar sounds and piano melodies. His range of singing sounds like a true veteran and he simply will blow you away when you hear. People that are as good as Tyler can simply skip American Idol and create their own path to success. There is one thing we know that the world can never have enough of and that’s intelligently written soulful rhythm and blues songs. His respect for woman is obvious in his lyrics and simply put, listening to his music is a great influence and highly recommended.
Who are your influences?
I was really influenced by my mother. She would play guitar and sing to my brother and I all the time. The artists who inspired me were Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Michael Jackson and Prince..
So many more, but i they were the few who i really studied.
What is your age? 26
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Southeast Portland, Oregon.
When did you start singing? I started imitating people really young. Around 5 or 6. I got good at imitating artists and it kinda just turned into singing.
What instruments do you play? I started imitating people really young. Around 5 or 6. I got good at imitating artists and it kinda just turned into singing.
What artist do you want to collaborate with? I play acoustic guitar and a little electric. I can play a few chords on the piano, but i have a long way to go to even say I can play it.
I would love to collaborate with Bonnie Raitt, ToTo, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, John Hiatt, Stevie Wonder, The Neville Brothers, Deitrick Haddon, The Eagles, J Moss, Keith Urban, Kenny Loggins, Paul Simon, and Sade. Im sure there are many more, but those are the ones I could think of and have on my ipod right now.
Wo you write your own songs? Yes, I write all my lyrics, but almost everytime I work with someone else on the musical side of the writing because we always come up with tunes that have a better chance of reaching people when we work together. Every once in a while I can get a song by myself that is good, but i love working with someone else so their perception comes through the song as well.
Who is your favorite r&b singer? My favorite R&B singer is my brother Taylor Conti. If I have to pick someone else then it is Michael Jackson. And if I cant choose him.. Its Joe
Do you think r&b is lacking these days? I do think R&B is lacking. I dont want to come out as an artist who judges people, I just want to give my input and pray it helps the world. I think what R&B is lacking is good lyrical content and a great perception on life, love, and God. There are great vocalist out there, but i dont think too many are writing songs that are timeless. I think in order to do that, you have to be willing to trade fame and money for integrity to your spirit and to God.
Are you singing from experiences in your songs? Every song I have written on this record was an experience that really touched me. The record was recorded over about six years.
What would you like for people to get from your music? I would like people to know that there is someone else out there who cares about the planet and who feels the way they do about true love. I want people to know that there is someone else who cares about finding who he really is.
When can we expect to see/hear a music video? I would like to shoot a video this year and put it out by summer.
Your first album doesn’t have a bad song on it.. is your next album in the works and will it top the current album? Thank you. That is such a huge compliment. My next album is in the works and its gonna be a long process. I dont know if I could ever top this record, but I think its possible. As long as i’m patient and make sure I don’t rush the wrong songs on there, it will be a good record.
Describe the perfect girl? I love this question. The things that are important to me in a girl are good health: No drugs. A drink or smoke every once in a blue moon, but otherwise sobriety is essential.
Humor: Gotta really be able to bust me up. I cant be fake laughin.
Compassion: Have to love all living things deeply. Gotta know how to take care of someone when they are down.
Independece: Got to have a job and a dream and be chasing it down. And its got to be a good dream!
Your music is well balanced.. what are your secrets to maintaining a well balanced life? Thank you again. It just starts with sobriety. Then giving and being a good person. Being good to your body and mind is spirituality.
We know you have a twin brother.. Is he also a talented musician? My brother is Amazing!! He can write, sing, and dance like crazy! He will be putting out a record soon so look out for him. The Taylor Conti Band. Or just look up Taylor Conti.
When does your tour start?
Im going out this year. It looks like Spring.
What is your favorite song on your album Dreaming?
My favorite song is “Dreaming”. Its one of my favorite songs i’ve ever been a part of.

Congratulations to Jessica Barton for being Mixed Magazine’s 2010 Model of the Year! It was a magical year for the Cocoa Beach 27 year old bombshell as she took pole position early on and never stopped racing to win yet another competition. Jessica’s determination and to be the best is always burning and she rarely takes a break. She has been modeling for over 10 years as a beautiful bikini bombshell and she shows no signs of slowing down. It’s an amazing quality really to witness. Just to give you an idea of a regular work week for Jessica it goes a little something like this… Monday she will model for a full day catalog shoot in Califorinia, Tuesday fly to Orlando to host a party all night, Wednesday do a photoshoot, Thursday win a bikini contest, Friday she’s a promo girl at a club, Saturday win another bikini contest and photoshoot, Sunday spokesperson for a commercial and Monday flying out to another catalog shoot and the whole time she does it with a smile. Jessica Barton is not only a model but a role model to many. Jessica says, “It’s just a regular days work”. We think her excellence may have something to do with the fact that she is from Cocoa Beach, Florida. A breeding ground for winners and home to the 10 time world champion surfer Kelly Slater. It could just be in the water. Jessica brings extreme sex appeal, professionalism and experience to each and every modeling job and sometimes educates professionals on how to perfect their craft. She always brings out the best in everyone. Jessica’s favorite past time is jumping back into the drivers chair as she races her supped up super charged 1994 Toyota Supra which can be seen here http://www.cardomain.com/ride/472959/1994-toyota-supra Keep an eye on this amazing model as she tears it up on and off the track.
Where did you grow up? I grew up in Cocoa Beach Florida. You know, your average goth girl in the surfer town
How’d you get into modeling? I started off doing makeup for a few photographers here and there and they would occasionally shoot me. My pics started making the rounds on some photography forums and before you knew it a ton of the Florida photog’s wanted to shoot me!
What kind of car do you drive? Well for every day I drive a nice big truck. Its a 2007 Toyota Tundra. I got it to tow my race car! I have a 1200hp 1994 toyota Supra that I drag race. I’ve been the fastest of 9.13 in the quarter mile at 160mph! I can also drive her on the streets, which I do from time to time out here in Orlando.
So what have you learned NOT to do since you’ve been in the biz? I’ve learned not to be late and not to ever cancel. So many girls show up late or don’t show up at all and they miss tons of opportunities and get bad reps. Im so early to jobs that most of my clients have to tel me to, just be on time, not early, just on time Jess.
Where do you want to go with your modeling? I definently love modeling but as a glamour model there is only so far you can go. I’ve done FHM, American Curves, Playboy, all the car mags, everything. Luckily I have worked hard and trained to be a host. I have worked for ESPN2, INHD, FOX Sports as well as many regional and online channels hosting for various things, such as, NHRA and Nascar. Id love to get more involved in hosting and even dip a little more into acting since I had a great experience in my lead role in “Zombies Zombies Zombies”.
If you could have any job in the world other than modeling what would it be? Other than modeling and obviously hosting I still enjoy doing hair and makeup. I still work a ton in Orlando doing hair and makeup for many models and photographers. Its the one thing that just doesn’t feel like a job to me. I love it that much!
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Hopefully either hosting NHrA Full Throttle racing series on ESPN2 or racing as a pro in the series!
What country do you want to visit the most?
Greece! I want to visit there sooo bad. It looks amazing and the few people I know that have been there says it is an awsome place to travel to.
Who is your favorite photographer?
Well you Dan of course I definently think we have a talented crop of photographers here in Florida. Right now Chris Knight and Nick Suarez are great for being able to shoot any and all styles.
Would you ever pose for Playboy?
Of course. Been there, done that..haha. I did some playboy stuff when I first started modeling and even helped my friend Kara Monaco get started with them and she became PMOY.
Would you ever spice things up by dancing for your man? I have actually done that before. I am not the best dancer but needless to say the dancing didn’t last very long anyways! If you check out “zombies Zombies Zombies” you can see the sweet lapdance I give my love interest in the movie. Its well worth it!
Do you have a favorite photoshoot location that you would like to revisit? Hell yeah I do! Tahiti and Bora Bora. I was the for 3 1/2 weeks shooting for Bikini Destinations and it was rediculously amazing! Gorgeous views, locations, water, it was endless gorgeous shooting opportunities. Everywhere you walked was set up to shoot.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve ever done? I can’t say I’ve ever done anything too wild. I have a great time with friends at strip clubs, but I think everyone gets a little wild in those places. Wild in another sense would be some of the things I did when I was younger, like wuite a bit of street racing. My car is toofast and unpredictable for me now to do anything crazy like that. Plus, you grow up and see how stupid it was. I love seeing all these older men still trying to prove something on the street when they can’t even get their cars down the track. Its such a joke!
So, do looks mean a lot to you when you’re looking at the opposite sex? nope. I never look at a guy and instantly think they are hot. They have to grow on me. I’ve always dated friends, who I knew well and who I really greaw to like. My relationships have worked out a lot better because of that and I’ve been able to stay friends with them in the end that way.
What type of man do you like? I like smart guys. They have to be more intelligent than me to keep me on my toes and because I like to learn from my man not teach him. I have to be able to talk to him and we have to have similar interests. I mean if I know more about cars than a guy then I find it totally unattractive!
Are you the romantic laid back type or are you a wild child? I am totally laid back but It only takes a few shots for me to turn into the wild child though.
Turn ons: smart, funny, fast car
Turn offs: Bad teeth, self absorbed, slow car…haha!
What kind of music do you listen to? I actually listen to a lot of country right now but my musical interests are always changing.
What makes you the most happy? I love traveling and working a lot. I feel my best when I am super slammed with tons of things to do. I need to be occupied or I feel kind of worthless.
What do you do for fun when you’re not modeling? all car stuff! Actually I sounds like a guy. Drag racing, hanging at the shop, bowling and playing pool are some of the fun things I do.
What is one thing interesting thing about you that people don’t know? That I used to be 100% gothic! I was a total freak in highschool. I had a blast though and wouldn’t change it for anything. I mean I probably would have never worn or learned anything about makeup without going though that phase.
It was a fun night in Tampa as the Florida’s Finest Bikini Babes of Tampa. The event was the finale contest for the year and was held at Strokers in Tampa. Popular models took part like Playboy model Samantha Harris and Jessica Barton. Mixed Magazine made sure we got you front row seats.
